



He then moved to explore the business world, but found out that his passion and gifting laid in the health field. After he and his family experienced healing and health prevention awareness through Chiropractic care, Don decided that this was the route he was destined to pursue. While attending Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, Texas, he traveled seven times to Washington D.C. to lobby on behalf of the profession and worked on current Chiropractic legislation. He participated in health promotions for the TCC clinic and served as a full-time Chiropractic teaching assistant.
Don graduated Cum Laude from Texas Chiropractic College in 1995 and received the Keeler Plaque Award for most outstanding student. Upon graduation, he moved his family to Austin where he began as an associate Doctor of Chiropractic where he focused on Chiropractic rehabilitation. In 1999, Dr. McKinley became an independent Doctor of Chiropractic and opened his own clinic in South Austin. He has since continued further education to enhance his practice, including rehabilitation and nutrition.

Dr. Descant's undergraduate studies were at the University of Houston; followed by Texas Chiropractic College, from which he received his Doctor of Chiropractic and Bachelor’s Degree in Human Biology in 1995. After practicing in the Houston area and being an adjunct professor at Texas Chiropractic College, he moved to San Antonio in 1998 to continue his private practice.
In 2006 he was transferred by the clinic group for which he was working to Laredo, Texas where he practiced for 7 years. In 2013, he was able to move to Austin to join Premier Family Physicians, thanks to his classmate from Texas Chiropractic College, Dr. McKinley. At the start of 2022, Dr. Descant moved his practice to McKinley Chiropractic.
Descant and his wife, Jennifer, have been married for over 20 years and have two children. In his free time, Dr. Descant likes to follow sports and spend time with his family exploring Central Texas.

Dr. Chalcraft’s journey into chiropractic began at Colorado State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science. While his original plan was to pursue physical therapy, he discovered chiropractic during his studies and was inspired by its holistic approach to health and healing. This passion led him to Parker University, where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
With training in Diversified, Thompson, and Upper Cervical techniques, Dr. Chalcraft focuses on treating the root cause of discomfort while empowering patients with education and preventive care. His approach is centered on improving function, promoting balance, and helping each individual reach their fullest potential.
Outside the office, Dr. Chalcraft enjoys watching Premier League soccer, cycling, and spending time with his wife, Emma, and their dog, Winnie. Whether he’s on a bike ride or catching a game with friends, he believes in living life with movement, connection, and joy.
